Natural cotton garments solution for baby skin care

As temperatures change, baby skin becomes more sensitive. According to the Spanish Society of Pediatric Emergencies (SEUP), thermal burns represent more than 85% of cases of baby skin irritation. Additionally, babies can develop rashes, welts or itching due to allergic reactions related to their clothing. Beyond design, here are a couple of tips for caring for baby’s skin with natural fabrics:

Choose light colors for your baby

For t-shirts, dresses and shorts, opt for light colors that prevent the attraction of heat in order to keep the baby cool. Avoid harmful substances within artificial colors.

Consider knit garments

Knitted garments provide greater comfort and freshness as the threads are intertwined in a mesh. Avoid fabrics like lycra as they cling to the body, have heat rebound, and increase moisture.

Trust in organic cotton

Organic cotton is cultivated as naturally as possible, resulting in lighter garments than conventional ones. It wicks moisture away from the body to keep baby cool.

Look for quality certifications

There are different organizations that carry out the accreditation process to guarantee consumer quality in the production chain. Among them is the GOTS certificate, which refers to the use of organic textile materials.
